Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Everything was a little green here today for St. Patrick’s Day.

We had Lucky Charms for our morning snack. The loved to pick out the rainbow marshmallows.

The kids made Fruit Loop rainbows by gluing on the cereal to the rainbow. Bella helped to sort out some Fruit Loops the day before which made it so much easier to do this activity, “Thanks Bella!”.

Bella also helped to cut little pieces out of green construction paper for our next activity. The children glued on the green paper to an outline of a shamrock.

We had homemade Green Mac & Cheese for lunch (the green was chopped up spinach) with a sweet potato biscuit and green honeydew melon for dessert.

Our afternoon snack was Pot of Gold Yellow Jello Jigglers.

Another craft we did this week was paint with blue & yellow paint which turned into green. This lovely backdrop was perfect for our pasting activity with our cutout shamrocks.

I also read some St. Patrick’s Day stories I borrowed from the Library and we talked about the history of St. Patrick’s Day.

It was a busy, but fun day 🙂
