This is one question I get asked often from other parents.
As per the Day Nurseries Act (Provincial Regulations for Child Care Providers), any home daycare provider can care for up to 5 children 10 years of age and under per household at the same time, no matter how many adults are involved in providing the care. I follow this regulation carefully and only care for 2 children under the age of 2 years old and 3 children under the age of 3 years old. My own children are not counted in the total of 5 children.
As a home childcare provider, I am only able to provide safe and quality care for the children when this regulation is carefully followed.
